1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. "Similar technologies" includes local storage, session storage, and pixels. We use these to operate the Service, keep you signed in, and understand how the Service is used.
2. Categories of Cookies We Use
a. Strictly Necessary
Required for the Service to function. These maintain your authenticated session, remember security tokens, and protect against cross-site request forgery. The Service will not work without them, so they cannot be turned off.
- Authentication session tokens (kept in browser local storage)
- CSRF and security tokens
b. Functional
Remember preferences such as theme, last-opened report, or form drafts. Disabling these will reduce convenience but not break core functionality.
c. Analytics (if enabled)
Help us understand which features are used and where users encounter friction. Analytics is configured to avoid collecting student PII.
d. Advertising
We do not use advertising cookies and we do not sell or share data with advertising networks.
3. Third-Party Services
Our infrastructure providers (authentication, database, hosting, payment processor) may set strictly necessary cookies on our behalf to operate their services securely.
4. How to Control Cookies
You can control cookies in your browser settings — most browsers let you block or delete cookies and clear local storage. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from signing in. If you are in a region requiring a consent banner (e.g., EU/UK), you may also use the in-app consent control where shown.
5. Do Not Track
We honor browser-level Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals where applicable. We do not currently respond to legacy "Do Not Track" headers because there is no consistent industry standard.
6. Changes
We will update this Notice when our cookie usage changes and revise the "Last updated" date.
